ICF coach training questions
What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?
Level 1 (Associate Coaching Practitioner) builds a strong foundation in the ICF Core Competencies and is the education pathway towards the ICF ACC credential. Level 2 (Professional Coaching Practitioner) develops coaching mastery to the PCC Markers standard and is the pathway towards the ICF PCC credential.
Which programme should I start with?
If you’re new to professional coaching, start with the Associate Coaching Practitioner (Level 1). If you already hold an ACC or have substantial coach training and experience, talk to us about the Professional Coaching Practitioner (Level 2).
Does the programme give me an ICF credential?
ICF awards credentials directly. Our accredited programmes provide the coach-specific education ICF requires; you then complete ICF’s remaining requirements and apply to ICF. We guide you through the application.
Where can I see ICF’s full credential requirements?
ICF publishes the current requirements for each credential on its website, coachingfederation.org. Requirements are set by ICF and may change.
