Overview

About the programme

An ICF Level 1 accredited programme that builds a strong foundation in professional coaching, grounded in the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Live training, practice coaching and feedback prepare you to coach with confidence and to apply for the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the world’s largest organisation for professionally trained coaches, and its credentials are among the most widely recognised in coaching. The Associate Certified Coach (ACC) is the first of ICF’s three individual credentials, followed by PCC and MCC.

Associate Coaching Practitioner is an ICF Level 1 accredited programme. It builds a strong foundation in the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics through live training, demonstrations, practice coaching and feedback — the coach education you need for the ACC credential.

Whether you’re starting a coaching career, coaching inside an organisation or formalising years of informal coaching, you’ll leave with a clear, ethical coaching approach and a step-by-step plan for your ICF application.

FAQ

Associate Coaching Practitioner questions

Is the programme accredited?

Yes. It is accredited by International Coaching Federation (ICF).

What will I receive when I complete it?

Your RISENLEAD certificate of completion, with a unique certificate number and a QR code anyone can scan to verify it, plus a digital badge to share on LinkedIn and your website. You also join the RISENLEAD alumni community for life.

What do I need to apply for the ICF ACC credential?

ICF currently asks Level 1 applicants for at least 60 hours of coach education through a Level 1 programme such as this one, 10 hours of Mentor Coaching, at least 100 hours of coaching experience, a performance evaluation and the ICF Credentialing Exam. ICF sets these requirements and can change them, so check coachingfederation.org for the latest details.

Will I have the ACC credential when I finish?

No. Credentials are awarded by ICF. This programme gives you the accredited coach education; you then apply to ICF once you’ve met the other requirements.

Is Mentor Coaching included?

Ask us about your cohort. We’ll confirm what’s included and how to complete the Mentor Coaching hours ICF requires.

What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

Level 1 (this programme) builds the foundation in the ICF Core Competencies and leads towards ACC. Level 2, our Professional Coaching Practitioner, develops coaching mastery to the PCC Markers standard and leads towards PCC.
